Free walking tour Barranco
DESCRIPTION
Discover with us the famous Inca temple of Barranco, located just north of Barranco, only a seven-minute drive from the historic centre. By joining our free walking tour of Barranco, you’ll uncover everything about the history and architecture of this Inca temple, built during the reign of Pachacútec (1468 to 1478 AD).
ITINERARY:
It’s very simple—just come to our meeting point at the time indicated on our website. From there, we will head by vehicle to the archaeological site of Barranco. You’ll enjoy a two-hour walking tour of Barranco and the famous Cristo Blanco.
After the guided tour, you will return to Barranco city on foot, passing through the San Blas neighbourhood (the most bohemian and traditional area of Barranco). This free tour will end one block from the Plaza de Armas.

In front of the Municipal Palace of Barranco. All free tours begin about ten minutes after the meeting time, because in most cases there are walkers coming late.

Is the tour really free?
The booking is free; however, at the end of the tour, you are expected to give a donation of 25 to 30 soles per person.
Do you have confirmed departures?
The Barranco free tour is only conducted when the reservation is confirmed by both parties. Once you complete the form, you must contact your guide only one day before the tour to confirm your attendance. Additionally, your guide will also be able to confirm or decline his availability.
Will I be picked up from my hotel?
No, you will need to come to the meeting point.
Can I book for large groups?
You can only book for groups of less than 10 people. If your group is larger than 10, please contact us.
