Itinerary
You’ll begin your walking tour exploring the colourful murals of Barranco, street art (Grafitis) that reflects Peruvian traditions and brings the district’s walls to life. These vibrant graffitis have become a cultural expression that connects heritage with modernity. Next, you’ll visit the famous Bridge of Sighs, a romantic icon filled with legends, where you’ll hear its history and learn about the tradition of making a wish as you cross it in a single breath.
From there, you’ll reach La Ermita, a colonial church that has preserved centuries of faith and tradition. Here, you’ll listen to stories about its mysterious façade and how it has stood the test of time, remaining an essential part of Barranco’s heritage. Afterwards, you’ll descend the charming Bajada de Baños, a historic pathway lined with old mansions and greenery, once connecting the district to the beaches and still keeping its bohemian spirit alive.
Your walk will continue at the Jade Rivera Gallery, dedicated to the renowned Peruvian muralist. Here you’ll admire his unique style, blending magical realism with scenes of everyday life. Then, get ready for breathtaking Views of the Pacific, a perfect spot to relax and capture unforgettable photos of the ocean and coastline.
Finally, your tour will end near Barranco’s main square, where you can carry on exploring at your own pace —whether it’s enjoying cosy cafés, lively bars, or beautifully preserved mansions that make this neighbourhood the artistic heart of Lima.
